For a Muslim, finding a home outside a Muslim ghetto is a real problem in most cities across Gujarat. To assist people who face this issue, Firoz Makrani, a real estate consultant has set up a property website that caters to the property needs of Muslims especially.

A pioneering venture, to say the least, the website – www.faizinfra.com – states “Gujarat’s first online Muslim property platform, Faiz Infra has a pan Gujarat listing of Muslim properties for sale, purchase and rent, spanning 15 plus cities such as – Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Anand, Mehsana, Himmatnagar, Junagadh, Morbi, Bhuj, Bharuch, Valsad, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Kheda, Wankaner, Navsari and more. It is a one-stop destination for builders, buyers, and brokers to enhance their visibility and forge convenient connections for buying, renting and selling properties.”

The property portal was launched a year ago, and has been made famous by word-of-mouth and through social networking within the Muslim community of Gujarat.

“I have posted my property for sale on Faiz Infra’s website. I’ve heard great things about it and honestly believe that it will fetch me a good price for my property” says Rashid Khan, who has enlisted his 2 BHK flat in Juhapura, Ahmedabad on the property portal. He also goes on to claim that “It is known across Gujarat, and even India to a wider extent, that Muslims often face various issues in property buying.”

Firoz Makrani, the founder of the website says: “We cater to almost all major cities and towns across Gujarat and the response and appreciation we’re getting from the people has been phenomenal.”

The portal is also proving to be a boon for Muslims – who work in other states and metros, and buy-sell homes or commercial properties in various Indian cities.

“The website isn’t for Muslims exclusively. Other communities too are using it and benefiting from it,” says Firoz.

Firoz and his team are happy with their dream project turning into reality, and are working hard to launch an Android and iOS app shortly as well. Their future goals include expanding to other states across India, and eventually catering to property needs of Muslims across the country. The only reason they haven’t launched their portal pan-India to begin with is because they want to focus on providing a quality experience to their users, and don’t believe in rushing things.
