London, UK – Totem, the Web 3.0 dashboard unifying Web3 tools and communities into one interconnected ecosystem, has announced the launch of Totem XR with first layers of utility and gameplay available to XOiD holders on March 31st.

Totem aims to provide an NFT gamified experience through the Totem XR territory and reward XOiD collectors with $CTZN tokens for partaking in the experience.

Daniel Hanks, CEO of Totem, explains further: “Totem OS and Totem XR are both social and financial web3 tool interfaces, they are more connected to each other. Unifying nft communities, providing a socialized multichain marketplace, and a web optimzed xr terrain into one space for us all to create, share, connect, and grow with your friends. We want to connect all the possibilities of the metaverse into one space where we can direct the furthest impact, innovation, and creative possible.”

Totem XR is a tokenized metaverse which allows participants to socialize, collect, customize, and build together. Both Totem OS and Totem XR are powered within the same Totem Ecosystem and Data Engine, meaning as you build your profile and inventory, that goes with you across both plains. Totem has a goal to create a virtual economy. 

From all indications, this metaverse serves as an interactive space for all XOiDs and the hub for all NFT utilities. Totem is a web3 OS and ecosystem designed by artists, developers, and experts with guidance from the community, the ‘citizens’ of Earth. Totem OS is the operating system that hosts users web3 experience in a curated, trusted way with a dashboard that understands the digital era – A platform for collaboration, unity, and exclusive events.

In December 2021, the Totem ecosystem launched their first NFT collection – XOiDs – which served as a key into the AXIS, Totem’s community tool/interface.

XOiD Fleet 001 is a collection of 4,444 unique NFT avatars offering the holder one HiFi XOiD used for gameplay in the Xela Earth ecosystem. Each XOiD is unique. Some XOiDs possess ultra-rare characteristics, traits, or items. In fact, the lesser the chances of the XOiD’s existence, the greater its value. 

More so, all rarities were generated when minting, and stored on-chain using an ERC-721 smart contract. 

XOiDs also offer access to an Axis with a star map, native marketplace, XOiD missions (staking), a gateway to a virtual world, airdrop claims, & DAO tools among others.

$CTZN – Totem’s Ecosystem Utility Token

$CTZN is the currency of the Totem XR metaverse. It is used to facilitate exchanges in and out of the digital and physical gameplay experience. 

Users need this utility token to send their XOiDs on missions, build their XOiDShip, purchase upgrades, trade with other XOiDs for staking and lots more. 

$CTZN holders are granted premium access to Totem’s identity, dashboard, and the exclusive OS. The participants are also given the opportunity to earn $CTZN through curated and user generated experiences. Missions are one of the primary activities in the XELA Earth gaming world. However, only those who have completed profiles on Totem OS can participate in the missions. Users can take their XOiDs on missions and earn rewards such as $CTZN and the Meka Cube which empowers them during their journey. 

To begin each mission, one must stake a XOiD. The staked XOiD cannot be traded until the mission is completed. Notably, there are going to be two phases on the journey to XELA Earth and Meka, the first XR gathering space. The first phase comprises two missions: INITIOS and MEDIUS.

The first training mission – INITIOS – will commence March 31, 2022. Citizens of XELA Earth can stake 3 XOiDs for 30 days. Higher rarity XOiDs, and XOiDs with multiple rare traits will return with more rewards. The second training mission – MEDIUS – will begin on April 30, 2022. Citizens must stake a XOiD and 555 CTZN for 30 days to obtain a Meka Kube – a sentient Artificial Intelligence (AI) functioning as a tool and a companion on missions.

The missions in phase 2, Resource Extraction, will kickstart on May 30, 2022. Citizens can stake up to 3 XOiDs for 7 day missions. Each XOiD will increase their chances of earning the reward, depending on the traits of their XOiDs. They also have a chance to earn a XOD Particle. The XOD Particle provides great abilities on the planet Meka which enables XOiDs to traverse harsh environments and craft wondrous items.

Totem has made 1 XOD Particle a requirement for every mission beyond the training missions. However, because of the limited supply of XOD Particles, there will not be XOD Particles after phase 2 missions. 

With the integration of Meka, and the beginning of phase 2 games, citizens will be able to merge their XOD Particles to create minerals and plants – items essential for crafting gear and items for the world.

Along these journeys, XOiDs will discover the missing Lexicon chapters… Only the most honorable and dedicated XOiDs will be able to collect all of the chapters, and be rewarded as such…

The most successful XOiDs will be awarded badges providing access to specialised offerings and issue more governance of the XOiD fleet.
